Can someone more knowledgeable confirm that this is not a tube extension but a tube restriction. Only holds 4 2 3/4 inch rounds. I see an edge looking down the tube from either side. And doesn't seem to screw appart. I think it's been crimped
Yes that's a restriction built in. I have such on a Turkish shotgun. If you have it removed from the receiver you can drive a perfectly sized socket on an extension to open it up, or use a perfectly sized drill bit to grind out the restriction inside the tube. Or replace it, or live with it as is.
Being a bit of a challenge. Got the rounds going through. Used a socket to open up the tube (thanks grain). But the follower is to tight. Been sanding the tube and the follower. Not there yet and I dont want to weaken the tube too much. Since the rounds go through easy I was thinking. I know..bad idea lol. Has anyone made a follower from a hull? I'll clean up an empty hull, knock out the primer and try that tomorrow unless I hear that its not a good idea cause...
The S&J Hardware delron (sp?) followers are hard to beat. The tube and cap will be a little harder to source. If you need the follower asap I might be able to help you out, depending on what part of the province your at.
I have the socket and have I used it. Its taken quite a few hammer blows. I punched out the ridge with a smaller socket enough for shells to pass easily. But the follower is not passing. I have a socket that fits but wont pass the ridge. Worried the force might affect the tube. Not a lot of metal between the indent and the inside of the tube. I'll just sand away at it
I wonder if you cut the tube at the indent, and then get it threaded to take a benelli tube extension.
That's assuming it would be long enough at that point to work.
