Interesting video on M14-M16 transition

T star it was Harrington & Richards that suffered poor recievers due to substandard heat treating which was corrected , the M14 held up just fine on Full Auto.The DOD considered Full Auto fire to be a waste of ammunition and decreed that only the E2 varients were to be euqiped with the FA selector

hey, i don't claim to know everything and i'm getting old- i'd still like a winchester to round out my "collection" of 14s- when we got these in from israel, i don't remember seeing any winnies- h&r, spring, and trw, yes, but no win

seen a quite a few Winchesters ,H&R and TRWs but not many Springfields

granted , it's a SUPERB semi-auto rifle- esp when scoped and tricked out- like the m21-m25 series,
