Interesting Vintage Smith and Wesson Revolver Box

Not the best of condition, here is a vintage S&W factory box for the Military & Police .38 Special Revolver.

Maybe some of our older or retired RCMP members can chime in as to whether this was the box that the issue .38 Special, 5" barrel, general duty revolvers came in?

While used to the blue boxes I had not seen one in gold before.









The write-up on the inside of the lid specifically mentions .38 Special [as opposed to .38 S&W].

Yes, very cool... that’s the exact model i happen to have.

I've got a WWII vintage "Victory" model in .38 S&W with 5" barrel. I wondered if they also came in a similar box back in the day.

I don't have any booklet, papers, wrappers, tags, accessories etc with the above box. Just the box.
