I have a Winchester 30-30 that I bought new as a young lad in 1971. I bought it in Minnesota as we were living down there at the time. There are no Canadian stampings on it. It says made in New Haven.
Upon further checking, it may be that only certain commemorative model 94's were made in the Cooey plant. And they were not just 30-30's commemoratives that were produced there. It will take someone better versed in the Winchester history than I to chime in to expand further on this.
It is interesting though that a short time ago I acquired a Winchester/Cooey advertising sign. The gun displayed on it is a model 94!
