I am in the Kamloops area. I would like to get into competitive shooting, my small town range isn't set up for much more than bench rifle shooting. I'm looking at checking out the Lone Butte 3 gun. Does anyone know what the closest options are for IDPA matches/practice?

I'm open to either. I had just read that IDPA is sometimes a bit less competitive and uses more basic gear than IPSC. I'm going to do a drop in at the Kamloops range to check it out and likely get membership for this season. Any chance you know if there is a Black Badge course in Kamloops this year? I didn't see anything advertised on the KTSA site.

The Kamloops IPSC guys are awesome and the range is great too (Provincials was there last year). Drop in and try it out. Bring the gear that you have an have a good time.

I'm pretty sure if you go on the BC IPSC website it lists all the BB courses this year, I'm almost positive I saw a BB course in Kamloops this season

Are you a KTSA member? Their website shows a date in March for a Black Badge course in Kamloops and contact information for the instructor. Contact the instructor and see if he is doing anymore classes this year. He is also putting on a Multi Gun match on March 30. You are welcome to come our and help us with set up. Come out some Wednesday evening for IPSC practice and meet everyone. I have been away for a while and will start showing up again soon.

Thanks, I'm not a KTSA member yet, I am probably going to get membership for this season. I found the info and have contacted them regarding the course.
 
Damn, just saw this and didn't realize there was a course in Kamloops this year. I would have signed up. I'll talk to KTSA about numbers for another one this year. If not, I'll probably go down to Abbotsford for one.
