He said Savages shoot well but I heard him more commenting on their manufacturing method and the inconsistancies of that method yet still attaining the goal of accuracy.
Everyone knows a Savage shoots good- isn't that why Remington has taken the evolusionary step (Shooting Times?, ad?- not my idea, it was in some publication...) along with Marlin & Mossberg in copying them?
I liked his take on cleaning, scopes and the that the last real frontier of development is primer and powder related.
