Hello Everyone:

I'm new to firearms so thought I'd join the site here and probably learn a thing or two and yap about what I think will be a fine hobby.

I've got on order a ruger 10/22 which , after quite a lot of pondering, I've chosen as a first rifle. I'm anxious to try it out!

I live on southern Vancouver Island in Cowichan Bay.

Excellent choice for a first rifle, cheap to shoot and will help you develop a good technique.

A word of wisdom that I can pass on to you; buy a large selection of different .22LR ammo before you go buying in bulk. Most .22 semis are picky when it comes to ammo so buy lots and have fun finding out which one it likes best.
