Introducing my 10/22 MACHINE GUN

I purchased the drawings from h t t p://www.ccsprints.com/

I really only used the drawings as a guide. The author took a lot of graphic license with the drawings so they are a basic representation of the 1917 Browning machine gun. They are extremely well done and I think there are some 50 sheets or so. After downloading several hundred photos, I altered the drawings to accomadate more detail and also that all of the parts would be 10% larger. This gave me more space inside the dummy receiver to move things around so that the 1917 bolt was in the correct location as well as the muzzle where it exits the water jacket. There were quite a few extra details I added for the extra bit of realism even if it is only half the size of a real 1917.

The build did not change the non-restricted classification of the rifle as its still over the 26" requirement for rimfire and the the action is still semi auto (unfortunately:(), the receiver is unmodified and the barrel is stock except that the front sight has been removed. So you could just sit on the front porch and let the squirrels have it.:50cal: I don't know what country you could do that in but it sure is fun just thinking about it. But really it's just like adding that plastic US made MG42 kit to the 10/22. Its still just a 10/22, only dressed up. It uses standard Ruger rotary mags and my build has been modified to accomodate banana mags although I haven't tried them yet.

Glad your enjoying it. I had a great time building it and would have tried it even if I could'nt have use the 10/22 inside it. AND NO THANKS. I won't be taking orders:runaway:.

You got me all excited for a minute... I taught we had found a Canadian source for the Tippmann Arms Co. Model 1917 Water Cooled belt fed rimfire.

Ho well, if you are bored and looking for a new project for your mill...

Man that is hands down the coolest 10/22 mod I have ever seen. That is some very awesome talented work. Congrats on the spectacular job.
