Introducing our newest chassis: The MDT LSS (Light Sniper System)

I just spent a while putting some color into the lettering on the left side of the chassis. Some nice red that really makes it pop. Might as well flaunt it if you've got it, right? Hopefully I'll be able to get a range report next weekend.

Cool stuff, MDT.

WOW. Love this!

Are you still pushing for a Mid-October release of the LSS for us Savage fans?

Will an FDE version be available at that time??

Must know .. I want one ;)

It is going to be tough. They are being machined now, but with Anodizing and painting, it is looking like the end of October unfortunately.
Yes, FDE will be available at the same time....

Hello,

When do you expect the LSS platform to be ready for the Tikka T3 hardware? will this work with 7mm-08 round?

Thanks
Our first production run sold out within a few days of announcing that we were releasing this. So the production run after this will be complete hopefully mid November. We are going to do everything we can to make sure we have availability before December.

About the 7mm-08, I cannot confirm this at this time. We will look into it.

The 7mm-08 is a SA round and should work fine with a .308 AM magazine. Its what my savage 11 is chambered in and what I plan on using in the LSS once i buy one. ;)

Hey jt ... that's exactly what I was thinking being a short action and all, hell even the same cartridge as the .308.

I love the LSS stock. I have 16.5 Rem700 in .308 wearing it and it works like a charm. Having a collapsible buttstock as well, will make it real handy in a tree stand.

Here are some pictures of the fixed stock adapter as requested by some.
Note that the castle nut is missing in these pictures. You still need this with the adapter.

I also included a picture with a grip with a beaver tail. It is a tight fit, but it does work.

I have my PRS all set and I just installed your upgraded adjustable butt plate to it. I'm impressed so far. I can't wait to put it on the LSS - I need to shoot this thing.

Have the adapters shipped out yet?

Getting excited ... order placed and paid for a Savage LSS model. All parts from OST on the way ... Dayum I don't think I can wait lol

Has anyone else had difficulties gettin their PRS on? I'm trying to install the castle nut right now, but my problem is that the tube, adapter, and stock will all rotate slightly as I tighten the castle nut. Should I just rotate the stock slightly in the opposite direction and hope it lines up when I tighten the nut, or do I need three hands?

Also, anyone have a wrench they can recommend that's not going to do this? Here's to hoping I don't have to order another adapter.

Edit: got the stock lined up right. Nut's tight and we should be ready to go. Was feeling in the accessorizing mood, so I put together a shellholder. Check it out.
