Made my first order with Parts Only last week and I only have good things to say about this vendor. Jon was VERY quick (minutes) to reply to queries and patient with me when I messed up my order. Ultra fast shipping too. Very happy dealing with Parts Only, their customer service sets a high bar.
 
I have a couple parts that no one seems to know how to get.

I need the tang sight screw(s) for a Pedersoli Sharps. Gun is probably 20 years old but I doubt that matters

And I need tang sight screws to fit a Lyman #2 that I have to a Miroku made Winchester 1873. Sight is for a Uberti gun, but will fit if only I can find blasted screws!

Longer term I'm also looking for a receiver sight for a Miroku Winchester 1895, but no one seems to make one. I have a Lyman sight for an 1894 that fits, but runs out of windage on the thicker 1895.

I'm not interested in any bolt-mounted sights, such as the Skinner

Thanks for the message. It's a fair question. On the surface, mailing small items as "Letters" in bubble envelopes sounds like a great way to save on shipping. Unfortunately, for most businesses (including us), it creates more problems than it solves.


Here's some of the specific reasons why Parts Only Canada doesn't offer that at checkout:

- No tracking or delivery confirmation. This makes it difficult to verify delivery and resolve issues if something goes missing. Most customers prefer having tracking for peace of mind.

- Letter Mail isn't eligible for insurance claims without manual setup for each one at the post office which adds time, complexity, and cost.

- It's pretty uncommon that we ship an order that fits in the very strict thickness requirements for "Oversized Letter Mail". The item itself has to be thinner than half an inch including any packaging or padding needed to protect the item.

- Every product on the site would need special shipping rules built into the site (very time consuming to setup vs flat rate) and orders would require filtering for how they get processed which would slow fulfilment and increase cost.

- It's far simpler when quoting something out, to always know the amount the shipping will be, and many customers appreciate that regardless of how many items they buy, or where they live, the shipping cost isn't going to change.

We've tried to make the shipping system easy for customers to understand, and as affordable as possible for as many customers as possible.

This is just the current snapshot in time, and as we grow and evolve things may change.

That sucks when all you need is a crush washer or screw. There have been a business member or two on here that accomodated if they were contacted via email.
