2.5X Larger FOV

The OPFOR PNVG-18 Panoramic Night Vision Goggle is a revolutionary panoramic night vision device that substantially increases the Field of View (FOV) over monocular and binocular devices. The standard night vision device will have a 40 degree FOV, however the Panoramic Night Vision Goggle has a 100+ degree FOV, representing an increase of 2.5X over typical night vision systems. This is done without a decrease in system resolution or eye relief, and without compromising collimation.

The center two lenses point forward like traditional dual-tube goggles, giving the operator more depth perception, while the two outer tubes point slightly outward to increase peripheral view. There are no loss of visual acuity in the outer channels, so image looks as crisp in the widest parts as it does in the center. The two right and two left tubes are housed in merged assemblies and are hung from a bridge, giving operators transverse interpuplliary adjustment. Lenses are high resolution, meeting milspec standard.

The ergonomic design and lightweight construction contribute to user comfort and mobility, ensuring prolonged use without causing undue fatigue. Additionally, the device is compatible with any standard dovetail mount mounts, enabling seamless integration with existing gear setups.

This drastic increase in FOV provides unparalleled situational awareness and operational effectiveness, providing the operator maximum visual information. In practice this results in faster decision making, while being able to observe surroundings more comprehensively.

That's pretty cool but be prepared for sticker shock when you open the link lol
Anyone who knows NVGS probably have a good idea what these cost. Simple ballpark, take the cost of a monocular and multiply by 4 due to 4 tubes, lol. Add additional cost for complexity and unless you’re completely new to NVGs this should not be a surprise.

The real deal sells for $40k USD down south.

I'm sure these are great, but they aren't the OG.

add says made in Canada..... interesting
They just import the housings and tubes and put the tubes inside the housing in Canada.
Voila, "manufactured" here.

For what it's worth, price seems competitive compared to what Argus is charging. I don't think you could import these for less than $17k CAD with the base tubes including duties and conversion even if you bought direct from Argus.

$16k

What purpose would someone who is not an operator or employed with a Police Tactical team have for something like this?

I’m genuinely curious. If I had a net worth of 20 million I might consider it lol

I personally think these should be prohib. Anyone with the resources and desire to purchase these has intentions not conducive to civil society.

I suppose we should ban the sale of fast cars too, since anyone buying them has intentions to drive over the speed limit? Give your head a shake fuddboomer.jpg. People with the cash and desire to own should be free to purchased and use these and any firearms, gadget, tools, that makes the mundane Canadian existence a little more palatable.

Weird opinion. As if purchasing these makes someone uncivil?
I suppose you've never walked around in the pitch dark with nods watching bats or owls. Pretty amazing experience that you really can't get without night vision technology. Many other use cases as well.

I'll take two! And maybe some binos for my dog. If that makes me unsuitable for Canadian society, so be it.
