Is this 1-8 still warranted for only 3 years? Primary Arms seems to have updated their warranty on this model to life time, and it could be a deciding factor for me to go with PA instead of waiting for the new strike eagle 1-8.

I am definitely interested, but I can't tell the difference between the regular and platinum series. For the price difference, it can't just be the mil dot reticle right?

FFP vs SFP and tactical turrets. I would assume better glass for that difference also but I'm sure someone else can speak to that.

The glass is better - also the optic is manufactured in Japan as opposed to the PRC.

Dimitri.. Anyhow, just recieved mine and its a well built and balanced, glass is clear 1-8x combat optic. Can't wait to try it out.

I like that they hide a spare battery under the windage cap that you can get at without tools! I great little extra to a very nice 1x8 scope.
