Invitation to Fun Shoot at Camp Borden

If you want to shoot your rifles, join us at Mons Range, Camp Borden (near Barrie) Sunday 7 September. Range set -up and safety briefing at 7:30 am.

We will be shooting at 100, 200 & 300 yards. Something for everyone and every rifle.

It will cost non ORA members $40 for the day to pay for range staff and prizes. Any rifle will work just fine, from a Martini Enfield to a Lee Enfield, K31 or AR-15.

Bring 130 rounds of ammo and have a go at fixed targets, Snap targets and even moving targets. We will have 5 minutes of practice shots at each distance to confirm zeros.

This is not a serious competition. We shoot the same events each time so we can play with different rifles and compare.

Short answer is "no".

Yes. 100 is shot standing, so I often use an SKS. At 200 and 300 we shoot prone off a rest, so I use something scoped.
