I have a PWS MK216 (308) that needs an optic, an I have been all over the map with what I would like. Most shooting will be done inside of 500 meters but it would be nice to go out a little further when needed.

I think I like the idea of the 1-? scopes like the 1x4 or 1x6 powers but then I found IOR and they make some 1x8 and 1x10 scopes and I wanted to see if anyone has used there gear and has any thoughts on it or something else I should be looking at.
They are on the high side of what I would like to spend so I would like to get some opinions before making the purchase.

I was looking at these two models:

Thanks,

Jesse

Symphony, thank you very much for the great information. I appreciate you taking the time to give me such good information.
Do you mind if I ask where you got your scopes?

With the 1-10x how is the scope at 1X I would assume slower than a Red Dot but better than a normal scope.

IOR refused warrnty on a new faulty scope, citing abuse and they take about 8 months for all too frequen repairs. Accordingly we and another well-known dealer dropped them.
