I have had quite a few walls lately at IPSC matches that the shooter had to shoot under. The full squat didn't work at many of them as I couldn't get low enough. I see many top shooters doing a variation of down on one knee. In this video Bob Vogel does a "goalie splitz". Gotta love it!!! lmao

More than a few guys I shoot with would need a lift to get back up after dropping into that sort of position. And they'd likely be walking a little funny for the rest of the day...... :D

Yeah I have been practicing it and if you don't slowly get used to it you could tear a hamstring. :)

Eric Grauffel teaches something similar for very low ports in his course.
I spent 4 days mainlining Aleve and Tylenol after he tried to teach me it.
I still can't do it.

There is no doubt that the best of our sport are professional athletes.

Yup ... Low port shooting Eric called it. Was a pain, literally. Requires flexibility and balance, all while shooting your gun and hitting Alphas ...

Watching Henning shoot like that, then bounce up, shooting, and take off to another position, while shooting, getting his hits, was amazing.

Jarrett use to teach it as well. first time i tired it i was walking bow legged for a week! for an old fat guy like me it is far better to go down on my knees and take the time penalty of getting up :}
