IPSC Camo

i never understood what the big deal about wearing camo clothing was.... and yet we have guys with 5.11 pants and so on, we should ban them from competition since contractors and other gunslingers wear them.

As I heard in some European countries (Germany?) these pants are already prohibited in IPSC matches (and other "military" or just "scary" closing, plus many other stupid rules and guidelines), so be careful what you wish for.
 
Well having just shot in two European countries I saw lots of camo and 5.11 gear at IPSC matches.
 
It would be a pain to disallow civvie cargo pants (saves one or two mags being dropped on the ground), but that's a close cousin to 5.11...

I think it would be cool to have a match where shooters wore tuxedos - either black or white... women could wear cocktail dresses, and we'd all look so out of place on a sandy range, wouldn't we, Mr Bond?

In the US the range that held the US Nationals for years (Bary Ill) uses them on the upper range. With proper course design you never have a problem shooting the wall. ;)
 
"...clothing optional..." Only if there's a rider on one's black badge. Should be a licence for spandex too. The sister-in-law and her sisters(4 of 'em) should not be allowed to own spandex.
 
I guess rule 5.3.1 couldn't be anymore vague.. Why even have that in the rule book when there isn't a definate prohibition or clear rule allowing it...
 
Discouraged.....is , well, discouraged.....the wearing of Camo is not specifically banned in IPSC! Although, there are those that would argue otherwise, and who would actively lobby to have camo banned, shame really!

What would be worse....going Commando, or wearing camo underwear while shooting a match? Things that make you go HHHHHMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!
