IPSC Canada, nothing vague about this message

just finished another letter and sent it off to NB Premier Bernard Lord.
I think it was a good letter, and I will be sending off different versions to Newspapers.

If this law passes Will IPSC be finished in Canada?
Yes, unless IPSC becomes a Olympic or Commonwealth sport very soon. Also, I do not have any faith in the provinces opting out. The time to stop this is now.

only IPSC handgun. Look at IPSC UK. They lost their handguns but now are having lots of IPSC shotgun events.

Look at what they are allowed for shotguns! Semi autos with no mag restrictions etc. Look at the lieberal website and notice that semi auto and pump shotguns are also on the block. I don't know how much fun you would have using a side by side for action shooting, but if they get elected that may be all you get.

"Look at the lieberal website and notice that semi auto and pump shotguns are also on the block"... Where did you find this??? I haven't come across this yet! I'm feeling very sick, I hope you're kidding!

Bud has taken the poster off, but still provides a link. IPSC Canada apparently has no opinion on the ban, unless I missed something on their pages somewhere.
Bull####. We have an opinion.

We're against it and are going to fight it, but there's a thing called the elections act that requires organizations to register if they are going to comment for or against a political party during an election. How can we complain about being law abiding citizens being picked on when the Feds are charging us in voilation of the Elections act?

Lawyers are being consulted. There will be updates at the web page soon, a press release and instructions on what is the best investment of our resources to continue the fight.

Fair enough. (what a wonderful democracy we live in)

How about a statement of IPSC Canada's position on a handgun ban as bad public policy, without making reference to the Liberal Party?

We have Australia and the UK as precedents of how handgun bans lead to increased firearms violence, contrary to gun-banners' expectations.

Thanks Sean, and thanks for the hard work, we want you to know that you can count on us for your support. I beleive all IPSC shooters feel the same.

Its time for a new sheriff in Ottwa.

It's coming. We're thinking on the same lines - should be next day or so.
