IPSC Classic printable target

Thanks to the OP... I did a very similar thing a few months ago with 1/5th scale targets of all kinds, (partials, no shoots, etc) for dryfire practice... if there is interest I can post the whole package.

As for the practical use of these printed targets, when at the local indoor range we use these exact same paper full size printed targets on the motorized wire paper target holders when running drills and group practice sessions... it makes the set up and tear down pretty much instant and doesn't chew up all our strapping.

I'm not a tree hugger, but I am lazy and cheap :). I started printing out the center section of an IPSC target on to tan pieces of 8 1/2 x 11 sheets and use those to repair the center of my cardboard targets. Saves me taping up after I've run 5 or 10 mags through. Unfortunately the tan colored copy paper is not quite the right shade, still looking for "kraft" colored copy paper, but it's tough to find. Sometimes if I'm going to the range on my motorcycle, it's just easier to stuff these into my saddlebags. Besides, we all shoot A's don't we :)

Here's what it looks like stapled onto a standard IPSC cardboard target.

Think I got through 3-4 practice sessions with these targets. Probably ran them for another 5. I usually end up turfing them because they got wet, rather than too shot up.

Yeah when I went IPSC practice at my local indoor range, they were using these on the target hangers (not mine by the way as I just made these up today). I looked online to see if I could buy any, but didn't see such a thing so I figured I might as well make them and see how much it costs to print at my local print shop. Depending on the price I may set up a little group buy.
 
LE Targets will be selling IPSC paper targets soon, just going through the final design proof on them right now. They will be around 22 cents each in bulk (2500 or more).
 
I prefer the cardboard targets because the range I use normally doesn't have backer board up, and the cardboard makes for a more stiff target. Printing on paper would just leave a sagging target.
The printout of the A zone is a good idea tho - would fix some otherwise turf-able targets, or keep them working for the rest of the shooting session.
