IPSC costs

Hey c'mon HB, all the courses are outside toronto since the last mayor declared recreational shooters to be the great evil that was causing crime in the city and shut the ranges.

NSSA skeet + IPSC = no money.
You only live once.

Do what you love to do. Life is short. Enjoy it.

Sometimes you have to say f** it.

Lol pretty much every weekend I go through my safe and decide what I haven't shot in awhile and need to get out with. Most often I default to the IPSC guns and I have one Winchester I've owned for maybe 15 years and still haven't got around to shooting...

Im just into it this year...

Course and membership 170$
Hornady LNL AP 1200$
3000 rounds 9mm 650$
2000 9mm bullets 220$
3000 9mm brass 160$
3000 primers 150$
1500 40 sw bullets 170$
cz tac sport 9mm and mags 1400$
cz tac sport 40 sw and mags 1000$
cz custom "stuff" 600$
Belts and holsters 400$
2 lbs powder 65$
accessories for my press 200$

so Im into it for about 6000$ so far but spent a lot I didn't need to and will likely sell the 9mm. FWIW hard to come out ahead reloading 9MM lol

I don't get it. Are you coming up with excuses not to shoot?

And there is not much time left in an evening when you get up before 4am.

I start just a little later than Mr. Clean. I get to sleep until 4:30am.
My day job takes up 40+ hours a week.
When I get home and caffeinated, I have 3-4 hours of work with my small business.
Fortunately I rarely sleep 6 hours a night.

Every minute I can spare to shoot is time carved out of the remainder.
Surprisingly, my wife and three kids do periodically become part of that equation.

Not surprisingly I use the winter slowdown to play catch up in reloading ammo and household projects.

No excuses, just reasons.
Weekends are my shooting time.
I like your idea PH, should start working my way thru the collection, will give me a better handle on the winter maintainence too.
