IPSC CZ 75 TS for Standard division

Good day everyone,

Just want to know if the CZ 75 TS (.40 cal) is approved for Standard division for IPSC ? Website says it is but a fellow from a gun club said it does not fit the box. Let me know if you own one and competed Standard division with it or were you forced into Open Division due to the size. Thank you.
 
yes it is, i have a couple of ipsc friends that use them in this division. sometimes the only thing is u have to remove a bit of material from the beavertail to make it fit in the box if its a bit oversized (on rare ocasions)
 
This gun was built for the box. Limitations will be magazines and what you use for base pads, and if to go to a bigger mag well (the big cz custom one won't fit I think); the factory CZ aluminum one is not an issue. Mine fits with plenty of room to spare.

I found out from IPSC Ontario website that someone was forced to go Open Division at the Barrie ON level III match because the gun did not fit the box. The gun was not modified; he contacted CZ USA and they said that the 10 RD Magz (Canada limitation) was the issue. He is currently working with CZ Canada to have a permanent fix, hopefully soon. Thank you for the feedback.

The guy at Barrie (or at least the one I know) couldn't get his to fit b/c of the factory sights and extended thumb safety I believe. Mags mights be an issue too? Not sure on this one. I am selling my TS and it has lower LPA adjustable sights. The gun shoots very well, i'm just always gonna be a production kind of guy. I don't have a box to try it out on but it fits fine in the small CZ Shadow case if that helps.

I have the one from CRAFM with the factory CZ aluminum magwell and the grip with the spacers for using the small frame 10 round mags. With the factory sights, my gun fits the box with room to spare, and I actually added a teflon basepad to the plastic lower of the factory 10 round mag. The extended safety from CZ custom I can see being an issue, as it is BIG. I have a hand built one from on of the team shooters from Czech which works really well and it doesn't add too much width. Hope to get to shoot mine more, its a great gun for the money :)
