I'm really just trying to see what's out there other than what I currently have for mag pouches for IPSC. Could everybody list the ones that know of? Other than CR or Safariland. Mostly let this thread be for future reference as well... I also can't remember the name of that magnetic mag holder? Trying to find what it's called... kind of want one.

I use Guga Ribas...infinatly adjustable...but kinda bulky.

I had a look at the Ghost pouches recently...if I were buying new pouches...they would probably be on the top of my list.

I use this:

I'm picking up some of those "Reemer" magnetic mag holders that I was more so questioning. I'll try to take pics and show what they are after this weekend.

Haven't used it but I would be worried about not getting a good grip on the outside mag with the inside mag so close to it.

Agreed, also I'd be surprised if that was legal for standard division:

"Appendix D2 -10 | Max. distance of handgun and mags/speed loaders from torso | 50mm".

The single stack version might be rules legal, but I'd want measurements of the double stack before trying it out.

Same worries here

I had exactly the same concern. The advantage is of course having all magazines within easy reach.

I never thought about the "legal" aspect of it in IPSC, I'll try to find out. I was going to use it for production.

I am still hoping somebody has actually used this and confirm if doing a reload with the 1st mag would be a problem.

The price is very good and if nobody has every used it, I might just buy it and do a report .

I had used the CR pouches on my XD 40 magazines last week and everytime I pull one mag out, the 2nd closest one would fall off. They were not as good as the Safariland pouch I have made specifically for the 1911 mags.

Worst case scenario is just to buy pouches molded for the mags. They retain in the pouches way way better.

You know....The rare Earth magnets can be bought at Lee Valley, and you can make your own, in any configuration you like.
Also, check a fully loaded mag to ensure they will hold. The XD mags will not.

Beltfed: I no longer shoot production and sold my XD :) I'd rather not make them as I'm one of those people that can't make crap!

Sounds like you have them too close together...

You hit the nail right on the head. I had come to the same conclusion. I was using my gunbelt instead of my CR Speed belt and couldnt/wouldnt remove the whole setup as this occurred on the 1st stage and didnt happen again until the last 2 stages.

However, even if I put my 1911 close together, it will not come out that easily. That was what prompted me to look at other options.

I use the same CR pouch configuration for my beretta 9mm cx 4 and it stays in the pouch more securely than the XD. I have tried all possible configuration with the CR pouch but couldnt find any inserts that works well for the xd mags.

I used safariland pouches when I was shooting my XD - worked perfectly. I want to get some CR pouches and try those out.

I was using XD mags as an example. You should check whether they hold or not regardless of what mag you are using.;)
