Hello,
recently did my BB course.

Wondering: I know I need two matched per year, would this count club matches or only BC qualifier type matches.

Thanks!

It is only IPSCBC Qualifier matches, or IPSC Sanctioned matches.

As far as I know, the requirement was also reduced to be 1 match per calendar year. It should be in the IPSCBC House Rules and Guidelines.

you are right, dug out the handbook.

Thats a relief, have a busy summer and was not sure if id be able to go to many

THanks!

What if a person with IPSC BC membership doesn't shoot any BC matches in a season but does shoot matches elsewhere? And further how do we still have "House Rules" when those are specifically not allowed in IPSC. Beyond local laws and compliance with such.

Let the membership coordinator know that you have been active in a sanctioned IPSC match and it will count towards your status.

Ahhh yes... The "House Rules" question... I've asked that one myself in the past but once I read the BC House Rules I realized that they weren't in contravention of the IPSC rules. They are in addition to... Activity requirements etc. But why, you ask? Well, because in the past as I understand it, people would get their Black Badge and then stop competing and then show up 10 years later and want to play. They no longer knew the rules... Most were unsafe... etc. Hence the House Rules.

This has always been a bit of an issue with me, sorry for the hijack,

3.3.1. IPSC matches are governed by the rules applicable to the discipline. Host
organizations may not enforce local rules except to comply with
legislation or legal precedent in the applicable jurisdiction. Any
voluntarily adopted rules that are not in compliance with these rules must
not be applied to IPSC matches without the express consent of the
Regional Directorate and the IPSC Executive Council.
