IPSC membership renewal

The concept of club reps distributing renewal forms is great but at least in my case not effective, I have never received any IPSC Ontario material from our club rep.

So, I suppose for next year we shouldn't bother posting a huge red link to membership renewal form to IPSC Oontario web site?

By all means use the IPSC Ontario web site for this, it is more effective (for me) than whatever the club reps are supposed to be doing.

But in fact this thread on CGN was more effective than either.

It would be interestng to learn why. Could you please elaborate?

I think this has been discussed before,...but could you post what you pay for yearly provincial dues?

According to IPSC Stats web site, in 2010 I participated in 33 sanctioned IPSC matches, including 5 Level III matches.

Say, the average Level I and II in Ontario is $30 and Level III is usually about $100. that adds up to about 28 * $30 + 5 * $100 = $1340 in match fees. :ar15:

In addition to that, I spent over $100 on weekly club matches (most of the time $2 two times a week) and few hundred more on USPSA matches and even few more hundred more on accommodation when traveling some thousand km to some of the remote matches outside of Ontario.

That is not counting another $1k on bullets and other reloading components.

All in all, that $20 doesn't make any difference. :D

I was just wondering this as well as I haven't seen the BC renewal yet.

The IPSCBC Membership Renewal form was posted on the IPSCBC Website on Sept 17th. I believe a copy of it also went out in the last mailing of the Newsletter, but someone else will have to confirm this as I can't find mine.

being single with no kids has its benefits,...LOL.:p. I doubt I attended half of the matches you had.
Oh well, I guess I should stop breeding and try to time my matches better.

ditto.

I only shot 1 level II match in Canada, 3 Level II matches in the US, the BC Provincials and both US and Canadian Nationals. This was a bad year for me getting out to matches. :( I think I shot less than 5k rounds this year.

I wish we had the same number of matches available to us locally as you guys in Ontario seem to have.

Chris, you did well at the matches you went, so quality counts. Guys, you can always move to Ontario, we could use help to organize even more matches. ;)

whoa?? how am i supposed to know this? nothing was mentioned about the renewals when i took the bb course! :S i kept waiting for smething on the mail - thought deadline would be jan.

I am in the same boat. I am glad I came across this thread as I thought renewal was like IDPA. The month you join IDPA is the month your membership expires a year later.

I joined IPSC a few months ago. Bummer. I guess I'll fill out the membership renewal and send it in with the extra ten bucks tomorrow.

Check with your black badge instructor first. If you completed your black badge course after September 1st, the annual fee should count for the next year.
