IPSC Nationals

I have been able to make time to shoot the Nat's and faxed my form a couple of days ago. Does anyone know if there was still space? How would I know if I'm "in".

Good luck everybody!

call Jack Payne at RU ready, or Wolf Hoffman, or one of the organizers who frequent this forum.

I remember seeing photos of Frontenac from last year's Ontario Provincials. Are most of the ranges still grass and packed dirt, or are there big changes to the shooting areas?

Expect Decking, grass, barkmulch and sand surfaces.

What are 'shoot offs'?

I assume the top 16 shooters in each category will do a final round of 2 or 3 on Sunday, but:

- why is this done?
- what would one expect if they make it that far?
- I assume this means you should bring even more ammo if you hope to make it to the shoot-off?

Cheers.

yes, how much depends on whether single or double elimination.

You will probably make it too, you son of a #####. :)

Well, the match is over (at least for our squad :D ) - we had the nicest/easiest stages today, with the nicest weather, so from the environmental point of view it was great. Performance left a little to be desired, but it was consistent with the previous day of shooting - nothing spectacular, no major ####ups, some minor hickups along the way. Looking forward to seeing the results. I went from hoping for "in top 3" to "in top 5" - we'll see, maybe...

Out of curiosity, the 'top 16 shoot-offs' on Sunday - is it reserved only for the 1-16 in the scores, or for the first 16 who say "sure" when asked, going from 1 on down? I'm just asking since I will probably be in the top 16, and I have no real interest in the shoot-offs - I'll be elsewhere at the time - wouldn't mind letting someone else take my place, if they were interested (#17, I guess?)

We have the top 16 posted (in the lobby of the match hotel and at the range) as well as 16 alternates in case anyone in the top 16 can't make it

I would like to thank the person(s) who removed the Production and Open lists from the lobby.

BTW thank you Omen for offering your position for the shoot off, I am sure someone would greatly appricieate it.

I will have to agree with Popurhedoff, thank you to the person(s) who took the open and production results from the hotel. it showed real sportsmanship.
