IPSC NB Provincials

I am trying to remember,...but I think the Fredericton inn was the 2005 Nationals match hotel,...but there is a closer hotel near the Mactaquac dam,....that would suffice.

The instructions I've got are rather cryptic for a non local and they can't be used for GPS:

----
From the Trans Canada take the exit to Mactaquac Dam on route #2, Cross Dam route #105, cross-causeway (1.2 km From Dam). Turn right at Gas Station at end of causeway; go 10.8 km on Route 615. Range on right, IPSC Trg directing on route.
----

Can someone please translate this to a map location?

PS: I wonder why does it have to be that challenging to find the range, hotel and everything else for this match...

I think that puts it on the road heading off the top of this page.

The resolution is not good enough to see any range but I think that the gas station is shown here.

http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&sour...1913,-66.89352&spn=0.029707,0.055017&t=h&z=14

The bed and breakfast shown at "A" is supposed to be on route 615 which is the road listed in the above instructions. So the range should be 10km from that corner.

I think it is an ESSO if i remember right and it is almost in the middle of nowhere(no offense guys).
Any name on the motel by the Dam?

Yep,.Esso with a liquor store in it. That is the road you turn down,.drive approx 8 -10km,.....and the range is on the right.

ONce you go over the Dam,..you go thru about 2km of wooded area,...and you enter the short causeway (boats on the sides with warfs),....up the hill you find that Esso gas station. These are coming from Fredericton directions. Sorry the directions are vague,...someone will pipe in soon with a more accurate instruction.

Latitude and longitude of the club would go a long way in getting the GPSs programmed for the trip.

I have a GPS so I'll try to get it and post.
The hotel nearby ( http://www.holidayfredericton.com/ ) is right by the mactaquac dam (same exit from the highway). My wife has stayed there on scrapbooking weekends and liked it. The shooting range is about 1/2 hour outside of Fredericton so any hotel there would suffice, there are a couple newer ones on Bishop Drive, which would help avoid traffic. Because I live there I honestly can't suggest where to stay because I wont pay for a hotel so near home.
We're hoping to go camping this weekend after a long rain spell so I won't have the information until Monday or Tuesday night, maybe someone else will get it before then.
I'll try to get detailed directions as well, but i EXPECT THE WAY WILL BE WELL SIGNED ONCE YOU GET (sorry caps) past the Dam. Coming from the Dam the road to the range (Springfield Road I think) is just past a provinicial park beach (park entrance is a ways down the road, not visible) and just before the Mactaquac Esso which is in plain view very close, you turn onto it (on your right) and drive for a few miles on a road to nowhere, a nice scenic drive at first. I just checked google maps and the layout doesnt jive with what I expected in plan view so I don't want to post it, but I had a few beer and cheeseburgers tonight so maybe it's the alchohol or cholesterol screwing me up :D
BTW feel free to leave your 9mm, .45 or .40 casings, I'll clean them up for you after the event :D

I highly recommend staying at "On the pond" only seconds from the Range, and is ranked one the best places to stay in Atlantic Canada. Donna Evans is the Owner and is very well known for supporting groups like ours. Check out the website, it's surprising affordable given it's breath taking views on the shores of Mactaquac Lake.

I'm currently setting up the range, can't wait to meet everyone.

Cheers,

Jake

For those that don't have the exact address of the range, here it is:

1040 Route 615 Springfield, NB Canada E6E 1V4

Google Map, GPS, or what not should lead you in the right direction.

the stages are out for this match,...anyone direct me to a free power point application?

Ladies and Gents. ensure you bring Bug dope, Sun screen, Remember there is No food services on the range so pack a lunch should you need it, as well you may want to bring a chair, and anything else that may tickle your fancy.

Cheers
