IPSC Ont Board Elections

Dear Peter:
For One, You Know Me As Curt3435, As Far As You Know My Name Is Not Even Curt, And Suggest That You Keep That In Mind (With All Due Respect Of Course)

And If You Weren't There Yet Want The Truth, I Would Think You Should Listen To Those Who Were Present That Day...

I didn't want to tell you, but it seem it can't be helped. Your capital words are annoying and rude. :kickInTheNuts:

Dear Peter:
And If You Weren't There Yet Want The Truth, I Would Think You Should Listen To Those Who Were Present That Day...

Maybe I did...

If I was wrong with anything here, you would call me a liar; unless little slip of a temper is fine with you . I don't play a detective or care to know to much, what I care is election. Do you copy me? I haven't even mentioned that name out or use, misuse that gentleman's name, have I?
I want to choose best person for IPSC ON board.
And now, what is your take on this?
just a slip of a temper... or ?

I Am In No Position To Call You A Liar, As I Have No Idea What You Have Heard And From Who. I Have Seen Replies From People Who Were Present That Day Re-assuring You That There Was No Assault, Yet You Still Ask The same Question.

You Vote The Way You See Fit,

The DQ was for unsportsman like conduct...and in my opinion was legit (and surprisingly out of character for Wolf) It was properly handled...at the match where it should be...case closed. Wolf accepted the consequences (ie, he took responsibility for his actions)...so move on. Everyone is entitled to a mistake.

Regarding it being an assault...it was in my opinion (as someone who has been involved more than I care to remember) not warranted. I have no idea why anyone would want to discuss things that didn't happen...I can hardly find the time to deal with actual issues...

More than two people misbehaved at that match...as a section (and we all represent the section) it was not our finest hour.

No need to site several ways, but you can site one that was used to DQ in that particular incident.

Since we are talking about DQing, let's talk about other board candidate who got DQ'd at nationals for dropping the ball (if you know what I mean :D). I can only respect Carmine for staying and ROing his fellow competitors for the rest of the match.

Off topic, but yes, you should seriously quit capitalizing the first letter. You don't hand in a term paper using that format. People are accustomed to reading text a certain way, and altering that makes what you have to say difficult to read.

Sorry for the hijack, now let's get back to the topic at hand.

FWIW, from what I have read on here, your interest is more in an event that is long over with rather than finding information about a best possible candidate. It is fairly obvious that you have not a clue of the man which you speak of. If you did this would be a dead issue. Speaking of annoying, your constant reference to "Assult" is annoying, and if you are convinced that the members on CGN are not aware of the meaning of the word, then maybe you should provide all the definitions of said word. If you truly wanted to know a candidates credibility, maybe you should be enquireing about information relevent to the elections and responsibilities.

Well Pete...if you're going to make your decision based on information you got on GunNutz...that is one misguided vote (and voter)

I have questions for all of the candidates and I intend to get them answered directly from the source...from the 5 people that have decided to give so generously of their time. Not as the outgoing President...as a member of IPSC Ontario (just like you) that get's the privilege (and the responsibility) of voting in our election.

Well said boss, I think it is time to concentrate on our futures, not just voices but votes :agree:

Careful Quiggles. I can always get BadBoyBeeson's Hooked on Phonics heading your way. The smell of the cats will probably cause the Jack Russell Terrorists a stroke.

on a positive note....
Well it’s that time again, do I or don’t I-- well I guess the answer is I do. The last two years on the Board have been busy and rewarding for me. I would like to thank all you who had confidence in me and checked my name on the ballet two years ago. Thank you!!! I look forward to the opportunity to continue on the Board. I have really enjoyed the mentoring program and look forward to continuing the program. The feedback I have received has been nothing but positive from new members and instructors. I feel that this is an initiative that needs to continue and I hope it will. The classifications have been a challenge but I see a system coming to light that will make everyone happy and I would love the opportunity to be a part of the implementation. As you can see there is still so much to do and it could not get it all done in the first two years. So it only makes sense to continue. A final thank you to all who supported me over the last two years and gave me the opportunty to give back to the sport.
So when you get your ballot in the mail, I ask that you consider casting one of your votes my way and give me the opportunity to work with the team to complete the unfinished projects. I would like to wish all the other canidates good luck and look forward to working with any of them.

Sig,

go first to the post #115 for definition.
I guess, you are friend of person in question. For your information, I am not interested in person but in action of that person which happen and was mentioned in post #63.
You know what, probably all you say about Mr. W. is truth, I don't know, what I know in my short IPSC life is, 'sh!t' happen at one stage at 2009 Nationals, one shooter got DQ, and Mr. W. tore best stage of the match and went home.
If this is a description of a man you defend, I rest my case.

Gentlemen, the purpose of this thread (for me) was to respond to the concerns of another member of this forum. And I actually command everyone who has come to the defense of their friend, for their loyalty but that being said, I am very disappointed with the way everyone is handling the issue of what happened. You can sugarcoat the issue in order to protect your friend but please keep in mind if that type of behaviour is allowed to happen it will be the downfall of our sport. And if we care about this sport we would not be defending those actions but rather demanding some kind of corrective measures. The least of which should be apology to the competitors of 2009 Nationals for removing the stage and having it toasted from the match. These are my final words.

Peter

well,.holy #### randy,..get your rainjacket out; there's a ####storm brewing...LOL
WOW,....Bill Clinton can get a blowjob in the whitehouse, but god forbid someone touch another shooters arm.

No assault occurred. A high ranking member of the local constabulary was present.
I confirmed with him shortly thereafter if any form of charges for assault could be laid and he laughed at it.

actually a cop can't decide if an assault happens either , it's the courts who decide.. but from the definition it's pretty clear.. I'm pretty sure the "recipient" didn't want to be touched by Wolf and did not give his consent.
265. (1) A person commits an assault when

(a) without the consent of another person, he applies force intentionally to that other person, directly or indirectly;

The reason I original asked, was that maybe I'm the only one who thinks that board members should be held to a higher standard then the members..(I might be wrong but hey.. that's just my opinion) they are the ones who have chosen to lead, and as such, should be setting the examples..

Let me put it into perspective..

At the nationals.. I know of two potential new board members who both got DQ'd. One choose to stay around, and RO for the 3 days.. One decided to act childishly and storm off..

having a great track record and helping the sport is GREAT, but maybe not the type of person you want on a board that needs to show a different type of leadership.
