How are they being calculated now and are there any updates coming?

At the pseudo-AGM the new system was discussed. It was to be compiled from ICS scores, hence the crush of ICS stages at the matches held after the provincials.

However, I note that Louise updated the classifications after the Provincials (Thank-you!!)

If I recall correctly, yes, it will be just Ontario results of ICS stages.

You guys will be maintaining your own ICS results database then?

After the AGM the board was supposed to come to the committee with a list of things to look at in more detail. (at least that was my understanding) but nothing have happened since the AGM..

I'm guessing that the change in classification policy was to address the problem of what happens if no GM's appear at a match and it turns out to not be a classifier?

amongst other things yes.. soft classifiers was one..

Last I've heard the plan was to run the old classification in parallel to the new ICS-based one, but I am not sure for how long. So, old classification should be updated with recent Level 2 and 3 matches at the end of the year.

I think all guys who run for the board want to address this issue.
