IPSC Ontario elections

I'd have gone with which Archer character does each board member identify with but apparently some find cartoons offensive...lol

That's not fair, I've known that candidate for a long time. He is a Range master, an RO/CRO instructor and has been involved in working, volunteering and supporting IPSC clubs and matches pretty much since he started. He may be posting to draw attention or he maybe genuinely interested in asking some feel good questions (what could possibly be wrong with that, it's not dumb, it's a nice change) but you absolutely cannot say he is not interested or doesn't give a ####. He probably gives more of a #### than most of us and has the work record to back it up.

Agreed.

While some may view a few of his open questions as dumb, I don't. In many cases those questions are apparently geared to prompt a discussion or engage with the newer members of this sport. They are the type of questions a teacher would pose to get the class involved in a discussion about the subject of the day.

I know some prefer to deliver the word of god engraved on a stone tablet, then mock and ridicule the inferiors who dare to question.
I can't help those folks. Fortunately they make themselves known early, so I can often just avoid them.

Question for Candidates:

What message would you convey to the membership, to show stability and direction of the Board, in the event of Board Members resigning from their position during midterm?

It's actually spelled out rather well in the constitution what steps are to be taken in the case of bod members not finishing their terms. But it's a pretty rare thing. It's happened but not a common thing.

Pat I did not censor any comments on the forum and I did not remove the thread. I am open to election conversations, it will allow members to make good informed decision when voting. I do not know who remove the thread and I am looking into that now. Members are allowed to ask questions and candidates should be allow to answer them.
I wish all of the very best.

If was not you that deleted the thread then I wholeheartedly apologize. As you had posted on the closed thread last, after it had been closed, and then immediately the other one disappeared I jumped to conclusions. That is entirely my fault.
I will ask for the logs to be checked and see who did it.

This will be my last response to any of this on this forum. Does not matter what happened now.... what is done is done. As I said in my previous message it was not me who locked the tread and I did no censor any messages. I only wish you had sent me an email asking me what happened before you posted here, this could have all been avoided. My only hope is that now the candidates running would re-consider and go back to the IPSC Ontario forum and continue election discussions there for the Ontario members.

No offence, well no further offence, but when those who have control of that forum that are either on the board or running for the board start to delete threads what other choice is there. It's bad enough to lock one but to delete it entirely screams censorship. This is not the first time this has happened. But it's a major issue that need to be brought to members attention not swept under a rug.
