IPSC powers that be find slavery a laughing matter

Isn't anybody going to say, this is why they don't shoot ipsc anymore?

OK, I will >>> this is why I don't shoot IPSC anymore......well, this and the fact that I now live in USPSA territory.

But seriously, I will say that I will never go back to that $hit hole forum called Global Village Idiots. It's nothing more than a hangout for VP to stroke his lapdogs and for them to lick at his feet. Anyone with half a brain gets banned.

So, this picture of Jay Cutler.... rear lat spread, front double biceps... what are we talking about here.....

Bit of a broad stroke your using, some of us show up to shoot and have a good time with friends.

If you want it's very easy to stay out of the political BS that is involved in ANY competitive sport.

For some iit'srather easy to not care about the ffuture of your hobby. For others we find it hard to sit back and it be destroyed fromthe inside

This threas is a perfect example of why I am leaning towards IDPA that's for sure!

The neverending drama is ridiculous.

Bunch of friggin children.....

if you don't like drama, stay off the forums. unless of course you lack the talent to actually compete, i see no issues with the actual matches or a majority of the competitors that show up for those...

No, but I will say that's one reason I won't start shooting IPSC.

too bad, so sad - we really don't care. those who can already do and those on the fence aren't going to be dissuaded by stuff on a forum that does not have any bearing on their decision or future experiences at matches

edit* - we as in the royal we and not the community

unfortunately those who seek and hold power have for the most part forgotten the actual rush that comes from competing and the sheer fun involved - you don't have to look as far up as VP to see this either :(

Dunno about that. There is less drama in my "real life" (home, family, work) than I encounter any time that I go on an IPSC forum.

Just pointing out the obvious I suppose. Instead of enjoying what is a really fun sport, some people waste a whole lotta time creating a whole lotta stink and drag everyone down. It puts potential new members off from becoming part of a great sport. Done with this thread in any case. Really not worth any more time.

Good Lord, there is a lot of drama in real life, too. What's your point?

Don’t really see how anyone can make a proper conclusion unless we see all the posts leading to the remarks. The Facts are Mike Dame was banned from Global Village and certainly has an axe to grind with Pinto. My worry is these remarks may very well have been taken out of context and even though they appear to be in poor taste they don’t constitute racism at this point... so to be better informed we really need to see all the posts leading to the remarks.

And for all those political correct RE:

racism |ˈrāˌsizəm|noun the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, esp. so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on such a belief : a program to combat racism.
