IPSC in general and IPSC Canada in particular don't take issue with the political baggage associated with various firearms. If it's legal, it's ok. Don't let the 12(6) bs phase you, as it's a non-issue.

As mentioned, the only issue is if it's on the Production list. A related item of course is a non factory barrel in a production gun is not allowed. A market specific non standard factory barrel MIGHT be ok. (ie 120 mm barrels for AUS and DEN)

This is great news. For some reason I couldn't find that list through
IPSC Canada. So many people told me that it was verboten. But the rules are the rules. I'll print that page for reference.

I've qualified with the P228 in past and wanted to shoot my old Prohibs in production class as they original (no 106mm). So far Ive used a GLOCK 17 in production - but would prefer my GLOCK 19 or Sig Sauer P228.

But it seems a SigPro 2022 with Canadian legal 106mm barell is a modified gun - therefore Standard or open class

Hmm Australia has an exemption for using longer barrels in their Shadows, but they might be factory ones.

yeah Nick is running one in his Shadow right now, according to Vince its fine as they are CZ produced. After Market barrels not so much.

The longer barrels in the Shadows imported into Australia are made by CZ and thus are legal for Production Division. You do not have to be an Australian to use one!
