thanks

basically any sight (non electric/red dot etc) will be legal as long as you dont have to modify the slide to make them fit (removing steel etc)

Dude! I told you they were legal already! Don't you think that I would know what is legal in Production and what is not! Especially for something basic like that! Very disapointed of you...:D Just kiding, always good to get a second opinion!

well i would have trusted you normally!
but the genius right next to me told me that it probably isnt allowed

you can guess the name by looking at your schedule

I think any question about equipment in PD is probably worth asking.

Reading through Global Village recently I am given to understand that pretty well every PD shooter I know is cheating -including me :(

According to what I read re-springing with the 11/13 combo is a no-go as are SS guiderods.

CZ Shadow legal Production parts

Hi John...as stated in Global Village by Vince ..SS guide rods are NOT allowed...BUT re-springing with 11/13 combination recoil and mainspring IS allowed as he has "made enquiries and he is satisfied that Ghost sells genuine OFM (CZ) parts (in addition to their own products, which are NOT allowed)...If you check Ghost's home site under "CZ parts...Springs" you'll notice that the 11 lb recoil and 13 lb mainspring are listed CZ UB (factory) as the Manufacturer

Could you point me at that thread?

I have looked and I can't find it.

The most recent thread I have read concerns the SP-01 but the principle is the same - the 11# spring is not offered on any stock pistol so it isn't legal:

http://ipsc.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=11028

I looked on the CZ UB site and I don't see anywhere these springs are offered as an option on any pistol. If I missed it could someone please show me where it is.

Sure John...go to Global Village..under IPSC Rules and Regs..IPSC Handgun Rules..Subforum: Production Division..go to thread on Page 3 titled: Rear sight and Recoil Spring for SP01 and G17...you will see the question asked and Vinces immediate answer Yes, as long as it is OFM part...a little further down the same thread Vince is more specific about products from Ghost...you can then go to Ghost and see both springs(11 lb Recoil and 13 lb mainspring) listed as Manufactured by CZ UB ...cheers !!....race1911

First off, you were right to not trust Zaitsev he will mislead you. He actually has a signed contract with the overseers of Open Div to send as many people there as possible. Signed in blood too. I know cuz I helped write it.
As for the Glock steel guide rod, I don't think that there are PD legal ones for any Glock at all. USPSA maybe, but not IPSC

are there any metallic guide rods for the gen4 that are ipsc production legal??

1. I don't see how you can replace the guide rod in the Gen4. It's part of the dual recoil spring. Unless you can fit a conventional guide rod.
2. You don't need a metal guide rod anyways
3. Won't be production legal

I see that a lot of people love me here...I guess next time I'll keep my mouth shut! :D

And by the way, Snowboy, Antoine, Slavex and Mardig, this is for you :kickInTheNuts: :HR:d:h:
