IPSC Production for Lefties

CZ75 series with an ambi safety and reversible LH mag release? I don't think I've ever had to use my slide lock on my Shadow 2 during a match. My pistol is broken-in to a point where my slide will release automatically if I slam in a fresh mag. Mag release can be reversed for LH.

You can change the magazine release on the Shadow 2 to the other side - some lefties use there index finger to drop magazines anyway though. All personal preference.

I don't think I've ever uses the slide stop at a match. Always rake the slide.
 
I'm a lefty and I chose a Shadow when I was considering giving IPSC a try....I never got around to making that happen but the gun works well for me. BTW...... I find the mag release location a non issue as I just use my index finger to drop an empty mag.
 
CZ 85 Combat

Ambidextrous features include safety levers, slide stop levers and a reversible magazine release. The lack of a firing pin safety gives the 85 Combat a slight advantage in the trigger pull department, making it a long-time favorite of competition shooters.

Good options above, can't think of any other steel frame options that fit this criteria.

Many / most would say that it is preferable to rack the slide instead of using the slide stop lever (some call it the "slide release lever").

Regardless, many people use the trigger finger for the mag release and even for the slide stop (depends on the particular pistol). It depends on what type of compromise you want to make: Limiting yourself to ambi / reversible slide stop options cuts out a huge portion of the market, and perhaps isn't necessary. It's worth considering.

All good points worth considering. I think a Shadow 2 would fit the bill and the budget.
 
Mag drop: I use my middle finger, got used to it, I do not reverse them even if it can. Slide release, test them. Some do not release on the left side, the bar bends and does not release. Some models do, some do not. So I got used to racking it.
