Hello all,
I'm a little confused on this point. Is stippling of the hand grip of a Glock permissible in IPSC production division?
Having checked the rules, stippling may fall under two umbrellas. It may be considered a cosmetic change which is prohibited under rule 19.1 in appendix D4, in which case it would be prohibited as a change of the finish.
However, the rules do say that "Aftermarket grips which match the profile of the OFM standard for the approved handgun" are permitted, as is adding skateboard tape to certain areas of the grip.
So what does it all mean? Is stippling a go or no go for production? And does it matter where the stippling is located? (I.E. If it's on the grip it may be ok but if it's on the slide it's prohibited?)
I hope someone will be able to answer this clearly!
Thanks in Advance,
Red
