IPSC Provincial and National

Walter you know the old saying they are not all 100 watts....well some are not even 40 watts, in my work I deal with them all over the place!

Lets just say I have flown in and out of a few airports in North America (and South America once), with firearms...
Worst experiences:
#1 Vancouver (PoCo Nats)
#2 Vancouver (Thompson Mountain Nats)
#3 (When is the next Nats in BC??)

So, it's not the airport but which airline you choose.

WestJet is usually accomodating and not too zealous about ammo weight.

AirCanada agents usually don't know what to do to find the correct forms.

Always take your bags to oversize luggage to be x-rayed while you are there to explain and show your forms otherwize they may pull the bag and you off the flight so they can get your permission to open it, you miss the flight,,,day screwed up.

All international luggage is x-rayed and most domestic so always go to oversize and you won't have the issue.

Well once you declare Your gun's you have no choice you must go to the oversize/special handling and they will x-ray them for sure.....both domestic and international...If they don't they are breaking there own rules

So far they never ever look at my ammo...they just ask the weight and my standard answer a little less then 5 kg :))

Toronto? Was I lucky? The 2009 Nats in Halifax three guns Glock, AR15 & 590 Zero problems filled out form wheeled case over to oversize. Don't think they even asked to see the form. Was flying Westjet.

Same here. Flew Aircanada operated from Toronto to Amsterdam with two handgun. No issues whatsoever. On my way back customs sent me to the other corridor, guy looked at match invitation and registration papers only.
