IPSC Rifle question.

Hey guys,

Just curious, does anybody know if an M1 Garand is suitable for use in IPSC competitions in Ontario?

I used one ( M1 Garand) a couple of years ago. Make sure it's in tune and reliable. Don't ask how I know

Here is a photo of the Garand that I had done up for IPSC 3 Gun:

It's chambered in .243 Win (that was the minimum calibre for 'major' under the rifle rules at the time (late 90s)) with an 18.5" Bbl. and a Smith & Alexander muzzle brake. It's topped with a Burris 1.75x intermediate eye relief scope on QD mounts.

At the time, it had a 2-3 rd advantage over any other semi-auto and reloads could be 'very slick' with practice.

10 rd 'pistol mags' for AR-15s have now negated any capacity advantage.
