IPSC RULES question 'Gear Distance'

Sorry what is global village, you name it as if we were supposed to know what it is and how to find it.
thanks

This has been hashed, talked about and threaded to death!
Go to Global Village, find the thread that the "man that knows all" has explained away this whole debacle, print it off and carry it in your range bag.
Produce it when you need to.
Problem solved.

That rule does leave wiggle room for body shape. But as a slender female with hips my dropped and offset holster was said to not comply. I had to alter it to fit the rule. It is possible and does sucks but if you end up going outside of your region then all issues will already looked after.

I have inquired to IPSC about this and it is from the center grip to ABOVE the belt line, so if you are fat, you are good with the BT DOH holster, and if you are slender you are not. This seems to only be a problem for the Blade Tech DOH holster. Having a 32" waist, my BT DOH is no good as I am not compliant. I bought a CR speed holster and now all is good. It sucks, but it is what it is. I actually like the BT holster better, but it is no good if I cant use it for IPSC :(.

This is not new information for the IPSC Shooter as it is discussed at the Black Badge Course and if the Instructor teaching it is not showing the Competitors then something should be done about that, or the Competitors should be paying more attention.

I know we went over it when I did my Black Badge Course. This as I said is nothing new.....

If the same piece of equipment can be within the rules on one person, and outside of the rules on another, due to their weight difference.....the rule is stupid. If the equipment is good to go one person it should be good for all.

Totally agree
