IPSC Rules - What you can do before you shoot

ahh ok.

I think the computer desk with monitor would be and awsome stage. All targets shot throught port (monitor) and just call the stage FPS

No I haven't miss it....my fun come simply from going at matches and shooting.....and of course from developing my skills as a IPSC shooter....strange start or stages...usually doesn't find the best shooter too much left too lady luck...I place high on a stages at my third matchs (ever)in standard....turning two cards of four then we had shoot the target associated to the turn cards.....you believe it was because I was skill......nope pure luck...!

Maybe I am reading it wrong but I take it that this was a stage run OUTSIDE of the match in general. Sort of a side match that does not effect the match results at all.

I have seen similar stages in the past. One of my favorites featured "belly guns" .32 or .25 acp. Just for the fun of it.

It was not IPSC per sey but it was added to an IPSC match.

No it was part of a level 3 match....a fine match I may add but a little outside the box....All I have been talking about is in direct relation to ISPC....while I have other guns they haven't been outside the safe much....

IIRC correctly, one of the recent Smith & Wesson Invitationals also had an interesting stage that required you to use an "opposite" handgun to shoot part of an IDPA-style course through a shoot house; there was a dummy placed partway through the house that had a revolver (if you were shooting a semi) or a semi (if you were shooting a revolver) laying next to it, and you had to use that gun to complete the course of fire. This runs afoul of IPSC rules, but I think it would be an interesting challenge and a change from the "run up and blow the patches off"-style of match.

Salt to the wounds!

IPSC in any shape or form in Quebec right now would be a good thing.

Guys enjoy it while you can, after the bombshell that fell over IPSC Quebec, it would not surprise me to see this same happen to other provinces..

I am not trying to steal the thread but its just that you have a liberty that is now denied to us.

So just shoot the matches and quit whinning

ain't going to happen anywhere else in Canada, except maybe Ontario, and I doubt it there too.

Quebec is special with the SQ in lead for CFO......I couldn't get a ATT to practice while I stay there.....because I didn't have a permanent address I guess they don't understand the travalling part :( but because I live in NS my ATT with Invitation letter permit to attend a few matchs...anywhere in Canada.... :)
