Some thing to consider this year when shooting outdoors in Onatrio East this year.
Extra Gear: Mask & Snorkel to view fault lines under water?
Chest Waders to party cover your body from Downpourrrrrrssss?
Rain Jacket with Hood to cover rest of your body?
Metal detector to find mags in deep water?
Lots of rags to try to dry off equipment?
Patience of God to deal with drowned Range Officials?
and the list goes ON & ON

My hat goes off to anyone trying to host matches or compete in them so far this year.

SOunds like a Match today in NS!!! No wimps allowed! We had to row to different stages, but had some fun!

dissassembling and cleaning glock mags!?! What horrors have I been driven to!

Aargh!

The weather has been as dastardly as anyone could hope for Russellmania was set up on alternating days of high humidity super-heat, and cold drenching rain.

Shot in the cold, drenching rain. Pissed like mad.

Then, just to rich it up, It rained in Cornwall! Yay!

grumble grumble....

lol I brought my new raincoat and the stinkin match was indoors!! hmm maybe next time...

Hi

Started to read these postings, saying to myself, you guys shoot at Cornwall?:D

Helped with the setup on Friday.. I thought I was in the Newington bog.

And the smell was like dead carp on the shore of the St.Laurence.

Funny thing is a few weeks back we had a pile of garbage we could not burn because a fire ban was in effect, DRY conditions;)

Rocky Gore Tex Socks
Picked 'em up when I saw the weather forecast Friday. Well worth the $65!!

You'll be proud of me and my tupperwear: I just got my Blade Tech holster, and I prefer it to the Ribas!

...the only problem on Saturday was the quicksand :D

That was the second wettest match I ever shot...still fun

Cheers

But the best part was trying to clean my brand new STI mags that I cant strip without ripping the spring off the follower. Still I had a great time on Saturday.

Another mandatory item for the list is a bunch of garbage bags. Put them on your vehicle seats, floor or put your wet muddy clothes in them and drive home in your thong, I mean underwear.

Crucial for any trip to the range at this time of year is either Deep Woods OFF (in 10 litre cans) or a 14" shottie for mosquito and deer fly defence...

But what would be the best load?:)
