IPSC Stage Design

I can't believe that IPSC in general is allowing this kind of Despotism to exist on an Official forum for communication, ie the global Village, and a place that is supposed to be a medium where there is a free forum to exchange ideas......it is more than pathetic, and a slap in the face to all IPSC members!

Wow. You just can't get masturbation out of your mind. We were having a friendly discussion about scenarios, but you cannot resist lowering the discussion to the gutter. I really pity you.

I don't know who "we" refers to -- it was a direct quote, which is why I used inverted commas. Isn't that the usual way?

For other comments about Vinny and the GV, take it up with him or file a complaint or don't go there or whatever.

That's not true. Before it was removed, I made a copy of the new topic you started on 19 June 2010 when you posted "Ok on CGN some one by the the name of PokPok is f*cking around and claims to be on this forum so wtf??".

When you post something rude and nasty like that, what kind of response do you expect? Thankfully they don't have your favorite masturbation smiley there.
 
7.62 points out a real concern, who does one complain to if you have been banned from GV? i know the thread that Stormbringer was on and i saw absolutely no reason to ban him. however since uncle vinny runs the forum all on his own there is no redress method available. that is what killed the last IPSC forum.

How do you know who Gambit is in real life?

How can you be sure who posted there is the same person?

It is obvious who I am as I have never hid my identity.

You however are an animal of a different stripe it would seem.
 
-Walter I have not been "banned" I have been Suspended for being "argumentative". Here is the exact text of my suspension email


As you seem incapable of posting at the Global Village without making personal attacks, and being generally disagreeable and argumentative, despite repeated warnings, your membership has been suspended for 30 days.

Should you decide to return after that period, your next infraction will result in being banned without further notice.

Should any other person post a message at the Global Village on your behalf, they will be subject to the same treatment.

I have no idea what I said that could possibly be construed as being a personal attack........other than pointing out that I think that Vince directs his Ire towards his fellow shooters instead of those he really should be worried about. That is not an attack in my book. It is an honest opinon which I am certain (as I posted) goes both ways.

As to being argumentative..........well that would only be logical as I disagree most vehemently with him on the subect in question therefore we are havnig an ARGUMENT. Mind you I much prefer debate but he seems incapable of doing so without resorting to an abuse of power it would seem.

Oh and I would urge all to take particular note of the last sentence.

I have had conversations with another Moderator on the GV, regarding my Banishment......they are at a loss as to what to do.....there is NO redress, or arbitration procedure....Vince Pinto Reigns Supreme on "The Official IPSC Forum", as linked to from IPSC World website:
 
since offensive is so personal in nature the only rule that could avoid it would be to not give stages names. Which would suck. Think I need to work Airsoft hitsquad into a stage name, thanks John.
A stage name helps people remember it. If I mention CM99-21 very few people would know what stage I'm talking about, but if I say Mini-Mart its a whole other story. Now that doesn't seem offensive, but maybe someone who was robbed while working at a 7-11 might feel it is. You never know. Of course if you've never shot that stage then you wouldn't know what I'm refering to anyway, in which case I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings or offended you by discussing something that you were not a part of or by refering to the USPSA.

We've had stages here called "Mini-Mart" and "911 at 7-11" and nobody cared but one time a stage was called "Kill All The ###XX" (a religious group), and that was removed.

I'm sure a stage in IPSC IRAN called, kill the inifdels would be fine there, but I find it offensive. Just as the hodgees would be offended by a stage called Hodgee Hunter yet I find it funny. Where do we draw the line, theres too much to consider when dealing with whats offensive or a joke in bad taste. Vinny walking around the beach in a banana hamock would be normal in some parts of Europe, yet most in North America would conisder that sight to be offensive. Some will find that joke funny some will find it to be in bad taste.

I had to look up "hodgee". The Urban Dictionary says "created by marines to describe Middle Eastern people in OIF, usually used in an insultive manner".

If you think that's funny, not offensive, it explains a lot.
