IPSC trying to drop the hammer on USPSA?

You know one way not to solve a disagreement is to air it in public. If Vince thinks this helps IPSC/USPSA relations then he has no idea what a "pissing contest" is or if anyone ever wins one.

No matter you view on this, there will be no winners. USPSA can go it alone, declare victory and hold their own "World USPSA Shoot" and carry on. I doubt many Americans care a damn about IPSC. Vince can boot the USA out of IPSC, declare victory and go do whatever he wants to do.

Of course I did. I stand by what I said. You don't solve issues by taking them into the public domain. USPSA doesn't need IPSC nor does IPSC need USPSA. My opinion IPSC and USPSA will part company.

Time will tell. USPSA President quote $10,000 and Vince comes back by saying it is only $9,600. Now that is mature.

The rank and file USPSA members won't care one iota.

Not sure if he needs to.
He's given "permission" to clubs in Canada to become affiliate USPSA clubs.
He shoots USPSA competitions.
I'm sure as far as he's concerned, its business as usual, until it isn't.

Bingo. I have the one with the fast action trigger, which operates in the same manner as a Glock. But fmk calls it single action in their literature so that's what ipsc bases it on. I've yet to see the DAO for sale in Canada... I even have it in writing from fmk that the "single action" trigger isn't a true single action, ipsc doesnt care.

Oh, and the only reason the fmk is on the production list is because i contacted ipsc about it. So i got my gun on the list, and still can't use it. Go me. Lol

$10,000 was what Foley said was paid in dues each year. You have to read down farther in the letter to see it

The US region is one of the largest regions, but with the same vote and voice as the smallest ones, that is how a confederation works. We pay our annual member dues (over $10,000) based on the number of members we have, just like the smaller ones pay on their low membership numbers.

How much of a difference a regular foreign USPSA member will see if USPSA and IPSC go their own ways? I won't see much if any.
Still two separate memberships and fees to pay, classification, difference in rules, RO certification, and so on.
I for one always treated them as separate orgs.

This whole "giving permission" thing is confusing to me. I have never been to an IPSC owned club or range. All of the IPSC matches I shoot are at clubs that host an IPSC match. Should it not be up to the club what type of match they want to hold there? I have shoot lots of outlaw matches at the very same clubs that I shoot IPSC matches at. Does the club have to get permission from IPSC to hold these as well? I find this type of situation to be bad for all of us who love to shoot no mater the discipline. Personally what ever the outcome of this may be I will continue to find a match to shoot. I don't care what name is on the sign up form. I will always find a match to go enjoy playing with my toys.
 
I... I... I... Too many of those. Ever heard of club affiliation? The matches you are shooting are hosted, organized and officiated by someone else. Try to run a match for once, make it a match sanctioned by an international org with a consistent rule set and trained ROs... Then talk back here.
 
In the vast majority of countries with ipsc it's being in IPSC that gets you permission to own a pistol, or even just own a gun. And while ipsc doesn't own any ranges, clubs are are formed specifically for them to be able to shoot ipsc. It is not like Canada or the USA
