IPSC type shooting but with 22cal

I have some one in my family that would like to try IPSC or IDPA type shooting but cant handle big recoil are there this types of shooting but with 22cal handgun

I'm sure most clubs would be cool with alowing them to shoot but not for score at a club level match.

They should have a Junior section to start young shooters with.

A guy started bring his 9 year old son out to the monthly USPSA matches with an airsoft glock and a CR rig last year, and when the squad was done the stage the kid would run thru it. Now he has a glock with a 22 upper on it, the poppers don't usually fall but he'll still hit them. evey now and then he has to shoot under a wall since the port is too high but other then that he runs the stages straight up.

There was a rumour that some club in Hamilton area was starting a "mini IPSC" using 22's, but I've heard nothing further in a while now. I think someone from Al Simmons shop in Hamilton was pushing for this, you might want to talk to them.

They have to use .22s for IPSC pistol in Portugal because the max. allowed calibre for guns for target shooting is .25.

There is also mini rife. IPSC rifle with a .22 LR rifle. It would be great if someone started running matches. Hi Cap mags and your days ammo would be like $6 You can’t buy a box of 20 .223 for $6 anymore.

We put on monthly Steel Gopher Matches, it is a riot shooting it with a .22 conversion kit on my Colt Government model.
