so who else has got theirs? I got both of mine this morning. Ammo and mags on one and guns on the other.

It seems like there is a lot of paper work. I hope next World Shoot is gonna be in a place which is more friendly for bringing firearms for competition.

This paperwork is for leaving the country. Has nothing to do with Greece. Apparently we all should have been doing this every time we left Canada (other than to the USA).

We arrange for mags to be available at our destination. I take my 10 rounders as backup. Removing rivets and converting mags would mean they weren't properly pinned in the first place and are in violation of current court determinations.

In previous trips, I've done the Canadian temp. export paperwork for my firearms. But I've never done one for magazines & ammo. So far my experience with returning to Canada is that the CBSA guys only want to see your RPAL, reg. certs. and for good measure the ATT. It's only been when I've pulled out the temp export paperwork and said "Hey don't you want to see this?", do they go, "Oh yeah, I guess we're supposed to look at that too."

I learned long ago never to volunteer information to government agents.
Now back to our regular scheduled programming.

I only did that the first time, as the last page of the temp export paperwork has a space for the CBSA agent to sign and date when you return to Canada & return the sheet to DFAIT. At the time, I was nervous that DFAIT would come looking for me to find out if my firearms were still out of Canada. I don't worry about that anymore.

if you fail to return the signed page to DFAIT you can be in a world of hurt very very quickly
