Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you know that registrations are now closed for this match.

We're almost full, and squadding is more or less done.

If you absolutely MUST shoot, send me an email and we'll talk, but be warned that it won't be cheap.

For those of you that haven't taken a look at the match copy yet, here's a sneak preview of what we have in store for you.

squading is now done. Any entries received after today (Tuesday) will be hand added to the list on Saturday. Next year we will be using Omen's online signup.

next time a wall is used. the targets shouldn't be seen from other places. kinda defeats it :D

it's amazing looking at the scores how such small things can drop you. a single mic on 2 different stages (down 20 points) droped me 10-15 spots on each of the stage results. I guess most people were pretty close together.

Actually that sort of design allows for.............FREE STYLE thinking.

What is the best view of a target?

Not to mention people tend to screw up and quadruple hit the targets..

It was too bad about both walls. (one was on a stage that had to be thrown out, the other was on a stage that could be gamed so that the wall position wasn't necessary).

It would have been fun to scale the wall, but it would have added about 4 seconds to the stage time to do, plus I think my ankle would have given out if I tried to jump back down. :p

Interesting thing, I learned (in retrospect, it made perfect sense, but seemed counterintuitive at the time). I was working stats when stage 7 was thrown out. Since I'd won the stage, I was wondering how that would have affected overall results. Throwing out the stage that I won actually caused other people's percentages to drop.

I believe this was the biggest match so far this year for BC? we were just shy of 100 registered and had a few no shows the day of. CableMonkey and I had a wicked time with this match. A ton was learned, and it was nice to see our vision being so enthusiastically supported by so many shooters. We never heard a single negative comment about our stages all day. It was fun (but long), but we loved doing it. The low wall getting tossed was annoying, but the right thing to do. a target had been mounted wrong at the start, then a replacement mounted correctly, then another replacement mounted wrong. so 1/3 of the people got a totally different target to shoot at. No way of reshooting everyone, so out it goes. We also realized once we built it, that it was a bit high. 1m doesn't sound like much, but it's high. Some people did go over it though, kudos to them!
The scaling wall was awesome. again kudo's to those who went up it. First thing in the morning before the first shot was fired it was discovered that two targets were a bit too low and allowed for impacts into the cement pads down range, so they had to be raised a fair bit to avoid this. the corresponding no shoot vision blockers in another port were then raised and that's what allowed for people to see the targets you were supposed to engage from the climbing wall. #### happens, next year will be bigger and better. The help we had setting up was amazing, Farier here on the board is a wizard with a nail gun and saw, the rest of guys who helped out the best help I've ever seen at a match. The tear down equally amazing with more people helping than I've ever seen before. The whole match was down in about 45 minutes.
Next year will have a lower Cooper Tunnel, the wall, another low wall, and more movers and stuff. Also a higher round count. we are aiming for a level III right now.

Fang and I had been talking for years about wanting to try 'other' things with IPSC stages, and after moaning about it for so long we decided to step up and make it happen. This was a huge undertaking for both of us, but well worth it.

Our main goals were to push the envelope a bit with some new things (acutually very old in most cases) and have a lot of fun at the same time.

We tried to balance physical challenge with shooting skills and a little bit of problem solving. Putting the P back into IPSC, as it were.

We learned a lot and expect next year to be meaner and crazier. Or something. I'm still exhausted from this one! :)

Thank you so much to everyone that helped us through this adventure. MarkH, Murray, MarkW, Chris, Clint, Bryan, and Dan, thank you very much.

Everyone that came up and helped build the stages on Satuday, thank you. It's people like you that really make this happen for everyone.

Special thanks to Al, Alex, Jeff, and Patrick who stayed so late to help with the setup.

Extra special thanks to our generous sponsors: Reliable Gun, Dave's Surplus and Tactical, and MDGardner.com

PCDHFC was very accommodating and Claude the caretaker was super helpful and generous with his time and truck.

See you all soon!

You guys did a fantastic job and I had a blast shooting it. I know it was a lot of hardwork on everyones part and a big thanks to all of you!

Thanks!!!

Thanks to cablemonkey and Slavex for setting up a super fun match, and for all the others in setting up and tearing down (at least I got to help on that part). I don't get out to shoot very often but that was a fun qualifier with lots of variety; challenging but fun. too bad about Stage 7; think I did OK on that one even by running around the wall.

Looking forward to next season's qualifiers at PoCo, starting in October :dancingbanana:

Well done guys, that was a hell of a lot of fun. It was too bad about the stage that got thrown out. When I got there, I still wasn't sure if I wanted to go over the wall or not :) after trying it a couple times I did :)

Very creative, and looking forward to seeing what you crazy guys come up with next year!

I had downloaded the match stage info so I knew there was going to be walls to climb and jump over. When it came time to decide which way to do the stage I decided to climb one and jump over the other even though it might have been a bit faster the other way. This match was a lot of fun, thanks guys.

Q10

Just wanted to say thank you to Slavex and Cablemonkey for a "Top Shelf" match. You guys did a great job and you were both awesome to work with.

Take notice everyone... This was their first "Qualifier" match ... imagine what their matches will be like after they have some MD experiance under their belt ... Keep up the great work guys... If you next match is as good as this one, get used to the words "Waiting List"

Thanks again ... Kudos to you both.

I would like to thank Rob & Cam on a great match. It was so much fun, it's nice to do some different stuff. Thanks and can't wait till next year.
