There is also a tradition in the very far North that when God flooded the world, there were TWO Arks. Noah had the one with his family and all the critters, but The MacNeill had his own and it was in that MacNeill Ark that God guided the Sons of Neill to the lands in the North of Scotland where they still live.
After all, God would not expect THE MacNEILL to go in an Ark with a bunch of smelly people who were not of his Clan! There could be SASSENACHS, even!
It is a real tradition, now almost forgotten. Likely it stems from the time of the migration of Clan Neill from Ireland to Scotland, possibly 5th Century.
