What does everyone here use for iron sight targets? The only targets I could find at the local sporting goods stores were for scoped rifles. Where is a good place for bulk large targets?

I take a sheet of 8.5x11 paper and a black felt pen and Draw a 4" square in the top half and a 8" circle centered on the bottom edge of the 4" square

I guess I could make a JPG picture and print them

If you search on google you'll find tons of printable targets.
Since we're talking about milsurp here, find yourself a printable Fig.11 ;)

I got an 11x17 printer for school and portfolio use but its an inkjet and for $45 a cartridge (and it takes 2) Id rather just but a stack of 50 targets for 10 bucks! Besides, its nice to have large targets so when you bring that virgin milsurp to the range you can see where your hitting even if its well off center...

For pistol targets, 8.5x11 is more then adequate so I do print those but I just need some proper rifle targets now...

If you need a 100yd target, you just print the 8.5X11 target and mount it on a white background.

Even if you only print off an 8X8" square to shoot at.

I use scrap cardboard and spray paint. I made a 6 inch circle stencil and just spray the shape onto the cardboard.

It also work's with the bulk rolls of banquet table paper.

Iron Sight Targets

I have scopes only on my .22 rifles, and prefer the fun of iron sights on the milsurps and sporters. Talk to Milarm at ww.milarm.com;[/url] they sell NRA 100-yd.competition targets which I really like. They have a black bullseye on a tan background, and the bull is about six inches in diameter. The targets are made of a heavy paper and are quite reasonable in price.

Could you describe 100 yard competiton targets? What diameter is the black? Whats the overall size of the sheet? (whats the right word for black center part of target?)

This all sounds more complicated than it needs to be :p

Just pick up some rolled paper, blank newsprint, table paper, whatever, put that up over the board/carboard/whatever, and staple/tape whatever bulleyes you like on it. I print targets on standard paper at home then just staple to a larger background for 200 yard irons with mil surps. I find 8.5x11 is just fine for 100 yards with Enfields and the like.

I use 50 yard slow fire pistol targets at 100 yards. They have a 8" bull, that I think is the 8,9, 10 ring. I bought 250 of them for arounf $100. Got them from a guy in Hull who sells high end pellet guns and targets. I love them for iron sights.

If you have the latest CSSA mag, they always have an add. I have the link somewhere...

Re NRA 100-yd competition targets

These targets are 21 inches square, with a centered black bullseye measuring 6 3/8 inches in diameter. They are made by the National Target Company of Frederick, Maryland, USA. Ask for Mike at Milarm in Edmonton and he will get some for you from the back. I can't remember the price, but they were very reasonable and work very well for me.

It's CanadaTargets, $77 for a pack of 250. Targets are 22"x24" with 8" bull as mentioned.

I ended up making my own this weekend and they worked fine but I'd rather just have a stack and grap a couple everytime I head out...I will see about this CanadaTargets deal.

now does anyone know where to get stickers to patch the targets? Need little black and white circles or squares...dont wanna waste an entire target when all you have is 5 or 6 holes on it..
