iron sight trouble

I have a bushmaster flatupper it came with a carry handle that i had sighted in i changed it over to a tactical type has a built in rail that i have a small red dot on .When i sighted in the irons i`am way over to the left when centred on the target ,i still have some ajustment but is over more to the left then the bushmaster one.My question is can you set a zero like the sights on a
garrand,or is it just the fit of the carry handle to the flat top.

If you're referring to the position of the rear aperture in the mount. The position is irrelevant. As long as the rifle is zeroed don't worry about it.
