I have a norinco m14 that I will be ordering the blackfeather RS for within the next week or two, just debating on color... I'll be sticking with the iron sights for a while on this gun until I either buy another m14 or a m1 garand. I hate how cheaply made these sights are on the norinco but I love them at the same time haha. Has anyone upgraded there sights on the norinco if so what did you use?

Mine has Springfield NM sights front and rear. Non-hooded in the rear. Easy and necessary swap, my OE Norc were JUNK.

TreelineM14 has USGI and Beretta M1 sights in stock usually, and they show up fairly frequently on the EE too.

I have Beretta rear sights on my M305s...they're a great value.

It all depends on what you want to do with your rifle. For casual shooting I see no reason not to just play with the Norc sights, get the rifle sighted in at 200 yards and then lock the sights there. With a little Kentucky windage, that will do for minute-of-gong, IMO.

Yea it's just a project rifle that I am starting. Drifter Dave is right it will be scoped at one point but I just love m14 iron sights too much to give them up. So I will wait until I either buy another m14 or m1 and leave them iron, then proceed to scope mine after. Springfield nm were the ones I had my eye on... I'll look into the beretta diets and usgi as well. Thanks for the help

The OEM front XS Post w/ Tritium blade and rear oversized aperture sights on my SA SOCOM16 are the cats a$$ AFAIC. I have no plans on scoping my CQB.SHTF rifle. May consider an Aimpoint T1 however…..
If I'm looking for more accuracy I'll be calling on one of my scoped bolts.
