Irunguns AR180B versus WK190-C...thoughts?

I was looking at the photos from TV-PressPass. The bolt-on sides are an... interesting design choice. What was the reason for not using an extrusion like a lot of other rifles are doing now? Are there features where it connects to the lower that are not suitable for using an extrusion?

Makes changing the rifle to left or right hand operation a simple swap instead of having a dedicated receiver. Their destruction testing has it holding up to a lot of pressure. If you had a detonation in the receiver, it would hold up. This also allows for the potential future options of left charging, right eject, or vice versa, on the same receiver.

The lower is unchanged from Nodak. Any change to the lower would require a re-exam with the FRT peeps. RWA is simply making the uppers. Standard 180b and 180 uppers work on the Nodak lower already.

The original design had just one removable panel on the left side. We did this intentionally to give the rifle longevity and reliability. It allowed us to incorporate a steel slide rail for the bolt carrier, this is the section of the rifle exposed to wear. As we tested and played with the rifle we thought of ambidextrous applications and decided to incorporate a second panel to allow modularity.
The open concept of the upper allows for a wide variety of customization and as the year unfolds we will be releasing everything we have.

Im sorry but our rifle does not take AR-15 Hand guards. We have designed our own barrel locking system and are fully licensed with Magpul to use their technology. The two versions of the rifle available are the two extremes of our variety. We had to decide which ones to mass produce first.
All together we have 12 different hand guards designed and will be making more available as production ramps up. If there is nothing in our line up that interest a customer. The customer can always contact us and discuss custom options. We first want to get as many rifles to you guys as possible.

So what tools are required to swap barrels?

Wolverine version.

I like what I see and the price seems reasonable. I've never considered the AR 180 a high end firearm. As a fun plinker I could see getting one. So 1K sure I could see that. 2K and I'm looking elsewhere.

At it's current price point, and limitations, would it be fair to say that the Wolverine WK190-C is a contemporary-rifle contender for a Type 97 at it's price point?

I am a bullpup fan, personally, but I have friends who don't share my 'perverse' admiration.

Cheers!

Just wondering how they both feel. Has anyone on here held both the Nodac and the wolverine gun? Just wondering on opinions
