IRUNGUNS brings a new entry into the NR platforms available to Canada...

You don't need to license jack squat. If you build a brand new rifle and say it's a VARIANT of the M78 that is enough, as the precedent for variants made by OTHER manufacturers being the same as the parent is already there. Why do you think a Radical Arms AR-15 is restricted even though it doesn't say Colt on it? Make it walk like a duck and talk like a duck using same calibers (7.62x39, .223, and .308), same profile furniture, same barrel length etc., call it ABC Gun Company M78, and guess what, you'd be good to go. This is not a hard concept to understand. Play the entire variant bullshtt against them.

I suggest you read those orders in council again. A variant of the valmet is a prohibited fire arm. As it would be a variant of the AK. The valmet is exempted by name in the OIL.

please no more AR10s

SFRC botched the Troy debut. Just look at how little posts are in those threads and how often they had to be locked. Thhey should have made the announcement months later than they should have. Shenanigans.

Better than the M10X.

We are working out the final logistics with the manufacturer and trying to finish this export. We are hoping to have everything worked out by Friday.

I'm going to laugh that these will be finalized before the Troy102 that has been in full production for almost 3 months and yet cant even provide a picture.

Waiting with baited breath - but already made my big purchases.

It's going to be good for laughs one way or the other.

If I recall correctly the blaze 47 wasn’t deemed an AK 47 variant by the RCMP, it was deemed to be the same gun as a named prohibited variant from an OIC back in the C68 days ( Mitchell Arms AK 22 I think). No choice other than it to be prohibited due to the OIC. I’m sure even at the lab they thought it was wrong and not an AK but the OIC wouldn’t give them a choice.

On a side note, if the Liberals are elected again in October, this type of 1995 C-68 BS will look like a joke compared to what they have in mind for us.

But the Blaze 47 is a mossberg blaze rifle (which is NR) with different furniture. It's not a variant of an AK, or a named prohib, regardless of what the horse cops want to tell us. The fact that different furniture is enough to make it prohib even though the action, bolt, etc etc are the same as an NR rifle clearly shows the rcmp can classify things however they want with little to no oversight.
