I have shorty (under 16" barrel) with stock (never fired) plus 10 mags or so. Those are "evil" in US. If IRG buys it for $1600 with mags, it can have it. I may even have an original box unless I send it to recycle box already some time ago... it is a safe queen for a while now.

One of the major problems is that with a year gone by we still have no idea what compensation/grandfathering package the liberal government has in mind. This to my mind is a serious problem with how this whole business is being handled. Clearly there was not a complete plan in place when the new prohibitions were announced and we still have no real indications of what options are available.

I do not wish to turn in my restricted Scorpion but may have no choice. However, I will wait until details are announced before making a decision on what to do.

Why would they come up with and release all the details when they can dangle it in the faces of votes during the next election.
“Re-elect us and we’ll finalize the banning of military-style assault rifles”.

the only reason they are offering 'grandfathering' is because they cannot find anyone that wants to go door to door taking them away. if you are the type who thinks Crimestoppers pays $2000 every time they get a phone call then keep waiting to see how much of your own tax money the Gov is going to 'give' you for your item that you paid for with after tax hard earned dollars. Remember 'the budget will balance itself'

Phats was that for the restricted or non restricted...I know they are all prohibited now. if its 700 Canadian that's about 560 USD. I would say that's 50 cents on the dollar.

Here is the New Zealand buyback pricing: Conversion 1 New Zealand dollar equal 0.89 Canadian so IRG 700.00 Canada offer equals 800 New Zealand meaning they paid you at a poor rating when using their tables.

Special shout out to those in the 416 area code - stop voting Liberals. If you don't understand you guys hold the balance of power.

that was for restricted, offer is in Canadian bucks.

I was curious what IRG would offer, got a reply in one day.
It was detailed in how they come up with the price. They have lots of expenses on their end to export.
Scorpion in as new condition, one owner, less than 1000 rounds fired.

offered $700 ( is price fair ??, very hard to tell as there is zero market for this gun )

Hell, Iam gonna keep mine then.

It's for sale:

What I paid for it (under a couple of years ago, grandma only fired a couple hundred rounds through it downhill)

+ Third party accessories added
+ All mags
+ 1 point sling purchased just for the Scorpion
+ Red dot zeroed in to very precise 'minute of coyote'
+ the well established and respected CGN 'break-in' surcharge

PM me.

I suspect you'd need to pm them.

I love IRG, I really do, bought all my Savage rifles from them. With that being said, it annoys me that they're now looking to siphon off of our market, which is already severely overpriced an undersupplied. Both in terms of supply coming past the border and actual choice of firearms in terms of legality. Think: Steyr AUG, AK47, H&K SP5 and other roller-locks (5.56,7.62) , FN SCAR, Beretta ARX 100 etc. , all prohibited, not to mention now the AR15.
Now you want to take away the little choices we have left for legal semi auto's to give back to the entitled americans ? I hate to use the word privileged but it's fitting in this context.

Every time I read anything from or about IRG I don't have good feeling. They come across as chiselers taking and always trying to take advantage of something. Remember the post they put out after the OIC offering they will move and store our AR15 somewhere in US? We would need to change and give the ownership to them. what the hell was that all about? And now again?

$700??? :jerkit:

At that price it would be better to strip it down into a parts kit and sell it in Canada. You'd get more than seven c notes.

Business is business.
Don't like it, don't sell it.

IRG, how about bringing in complete parts kits for these?
Please pm me if doable.

I wish IRG could buy my Colt Canada SA15.7 AR-15. It cost me $2,300 + GST and I doubt I will get 25 cents on the dollar from JT's henchmen on the buy back
